These effects are part of the Factory Effects collection, supplied with the Quantum FX modular effects system as standard.

De-Esser

Dynamically removes sibilant "sss" and "ttt" sounds from vocal recordings.  Presets are provided as a starting point for male and female voices.

Remove Vocal

A vocal remover, for creating karaoke backing tracks.  A low emphasis control retains the centre-panned bass (often removed by other similar tools), and a stereo width control.

Vocal Hype

This custom effect adds presence and punch to vocals.  It is ideal for making the vocal sit "forward" in a busy mix.  A vocal compressor and EQ boosts the chosen range of frequencies, and mixes them with the original vocal.  A de-esser ensures the final result isn't too harsh on the ears, and a noise gate cuts down hiss.

Behind the simple controls lies a complex algorithm, faithfully recreating a popular studio vocal technique.  Normally, to achieve this effect, you would need to use 3 or 4 normal plug-ins, and copy the vocal to a second track in your editor.  With Quantum FX, we package the whole complex trick into a simple box with 4 sliders.
