FAQs
Does Flying Haggis use copy protection?
Yes. When you install the full retail version of Flying Haggis, you can use it for up to 7 days without authorization. To continue using Flying Haggis beyond that time, you need to authorize the software on that computer. Authorization is fast and easy, via our website, 24/7.
Start the Flying Haggis standalone player (in the OS X Applications folder, or on the Windows desktop) and follow the instructions. The Authorization Code for your designated computer will be emailed to your registered address immediately. The authorization process requires web and email access, but you don't have to do this on your designated music/audio computer.
What if I need to re-install Flying Haggis after a hard drive failure, an OS re-install, or I get a new computer?
No problem. You just follow the same fast and easy process as when you first authorized your software. You will be asked why you are re-installing Flying Haggis, but you should always be able to get the Authorization Code you need.
db audioware does however reserve the right to suspend re-installs for user accounts that demonstrate excessive or inappropriate activity.
Can I install Flying Haggis on an additional computer, such as a laptop?
Strictly speaking, you are licensed to install and use one copy of Flying Haggis on one computer. So long as you ensure that only one copy of the software is in use at any one time, we have no great problem if you install a second copy for laptop use. Just be honest when asked your reason for re-installing!
How does copy protection work for Flying Haggis site licenses?
Exactly the same as for single user licenses, except that you can install up to your maximum number of users before the system starts to treat authorization requests as re-installs.
How can I authorize Flying Haggis if the website is down, or worse still db audioware has gone out of business?
In the unlikely event that our website is unavailable for an extended period, please email your authorization request to us, quoting your serial number and system ID. We'll email your Authorization Code to your registered address as soon as possible. Remember that you can install and use your software for up to 7 days without authorization: we recommend you authorize it early to ensure uninterrupted operation.
In the even less likely event that db audioware goes out of business, we have a contingency plan that will guarantee lifetime authorization of Flying Haggis for all registered owners. Of course, we don't anticipate having to put this plan into action anytime soon!
